I want to verify weapon skill actually functioned in vanilla as opposed to classic wow gold servers. I know for a fact that lots of private servers such as elysium intentionally altered the mechanisms with weapon ability to decrease the huge gap between +4 weapon ability and +5 so as to make it more linear (you’d essentially gain like 3% hit from 304 to 305 weapon skill when fighting a boss). I strongly think that”hump” should exist because this would indicate you would be attacking like you were a participant with +1 degree in terms of attacking, thus altering the mob from”orange” to”yellow”, and I think that this was the way that blizzard penalized players, especially melee, when fighting mobs which were more levels greater than the participant. In general this was the only thing I believe you missed this is a hotly debated subject among private server communities.
I played vanilla beta rerolled on almost all fresh server so I understand all herb/mine/quest location and mob spawn type/level/name. I understand that servers are just about 20% similar to vanilla. Virtually all mining and plant vein location are not where they were, many missing and many extra place (don’t understand why they havent used gatherer databases for type and location ), their type also distinct and the”infrequent” vein spawn mechanism is non existent (mended gold or truesilver etc. place even tought in vanilla any mithril iron and these had a percent chance to spawn their rare equal ), quest item locations are all different (by way of instance tanaris Gahz’ridian ornament things near ogres have all different place on ground and many lacking ), about 80 percent of those dinosaurs spawn in gold in wow classic another place, have distinct movement paths. Their level was random +/- 1 level.
