(CNN) — Two gunmen with automatic rifles opened fire in the main
square of the Mexican town of Taxco on Thursday, wounding two Mexican
women and a Norwegian tourist, Red Cross officials said.

The shooting occurred very close to a Red Cross fundraising event in
the northern Mexican state of Guerrero, Red Cross spokesman Rafael
Gonzalez told CNN.

Another Red Cross official said the three injured women were taken to
a hospital and were in stable condition.
